AP DSC (Andhra Pradesh Direct Selection Committee), officially known as Teacher Recruitment Test 2026, is the teacher recruitment examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education for recruitment to teaching positions in government schools across the state. The exam recruits School Assistants (SA), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Physical Education Teachers (PET), and Principals.

Exam Pattern (AP DSC 2026):

SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher):
- Total Questions: 140 (MCQ-based)
- Total Marks: 70
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Sections: GK & Current Affairs (20Q/10M), Perspective in Education (10Q/5M), Education Psychology (20Q/10M), Language Ability I — Optional (30Q/15M), Language Ability English (40Q/20M), Mathematics (40Q/20M), Science (40Q/20M), Social Studies (40Q/20M)

School Assistant (SA):
- Total Questions: 160 (MCQ-based)
- Total Marks: 80
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Sections: GK & Current Affairs (20Q/10M), Perspective in Education (10Q/5M), Educational Psychology (10Q/5M), Content of Concerned Subject (80Q/40M), Methodology of Concerned Subject (40Q/20M)

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
- Paper I: English Language Proficiency (100Q/100M, 1.5 hours)
- Paper II: Subject-Specific (160Q/80M, 2.5 hours)

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
- Paper I: English Language Proficiency (100Q/100M, 1.5 hours)
- Paper II: Subject-Specific (100Q/100M, 3 hours)

Negative Marking: None

Eligibility:
- SGT: Intermediate/10+2 (50% marks) + D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed + AP TET/CTET Paper I qualification
- SA: Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject + B.Ed. + AP TET/CTET qualification
- TGT/PGT: Bachelor's/Master's Degree with B.Ed.
- Age Limit: 18-44 years (General), 18-49 years (SC/ST/OBC), 18-54 years (PwD)

Selection Process:
- Written Test (TRT): 80% weightage
- AP TET Score: 20% weightage
- Document Verification
