NDA (National Defence Academy) is the premier joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where young cadets are trained before proceeding to the respective Military, Naval, or Air Force Academies for officer training. Selected candidates undergo 3 years of integrated training at NDA in Khadakwasla, Pune, followed by 1 year each at the respective service academies, after which they are commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force.
